Q: Will it work with Apple products.
A: Currently no and we have no plans to add i<anything> either. However, as we are using a Bluetooth interface then other companies will be able to write software for Apple products.
Q: With it work with remote control systems that use wireless communications?
A: Currently no but we can respond if there is sufficient demand.
Q: If I write my own Android Application with your SDK are there any license fees?
A: No, apps created with the SDK are free to use and distribute. Just leave any copyright messages intact.
Q: Will it work with all infra-red devices?
A: The current design will work with devices that use infra-red frequencies from 36 to 44 KHz. There are some manufacturers, notable Bang and Olufsen, that use their own special frequencies. Subject to demand we can adapt Blu2Red to work with specialist devices.
Q: Will it work with all versions of Android?
A: We have only tested Blu2Red with Android 2.1 and later. Earlier versions of Android did not have full Bluetooth support and the indicated market is too small to make a special Java driver for these.
Q: Can I use a Windows PC instead of Android?
A: Initially no but we plan to release a Java module and API for developers to create applications that will run on any PC that runs Java.
